UHF Wireless Microphone System Changes

Effective March 31, 2011 TOA Canada Corporation will no longer be selling the A01, B01 and C01 band UHF Wireless Frequencies. This change is based on the decision by industry Canada:
http://www.ic.gc.ca/eic/site/smt-gst.nsf/eng/sf09777.html

TOA Canada is currently offering allowable frequencies that may be used in the E01 (668 – 698 MHz, UHF) and F01 (636 – 666 MHz, UHF) frequency bands.

Please note:

  • For those users of the TOA 4000/5000 Series UHF wireless products in the A01 band, the first 7 frequencies, 0-6, are still allowed as they fall between 692.125 to 696.475
  • No B01 frequencies are allowed
  • The allowable 8 frequencies for the C01 bands are channels 8 to F, 806.625 to 828.750
  • For those users of the TOA Trantec S5.5 series, there are 10 frequencies in Band 7 that are available between 692.200 to 697.775 MHz

When ordering UHF Wireless products, care must be taken to ensure products ordered are of the correct frequency. Unlike frequency bands will not work together. When replacing either a microphone or receiver, they must be replaced in pairs so that their frequency bands match. It is advised to check the frequency band for all pieces in the system before ordering the replacement units [More...]
